Outplacement and Job Search Programs
Our outplacement and job search programs can be provided at both the individual and small group level according to staff seniority and individual need, with an emphasis is on assisting the individual in their job search by providing them with the tools, techniques, confidence and strategies to appropriately target the job market.
We offer focussed individual programs for all levels of staff seniority, from 2-hour face-to-face meetings to unlimited face-to-face meetings. Each program also includes phone support for at least 2 months after the last face-to-face session.
The programs are tailored to meet the needs of the individual with varying emphasis on different areas. These areas may include:
- Writing a professional and contemporary resume
- Developing a personal and tailored cover letter
- Job search strategies
- Training in interview techniques
- Adjustment counselling and coping with change
- Career planning and goal setting
- Transition’s active involvement with approaching employers, canvassing for openings, and monitoring the job market
Group Job Search Workshops
Our half, one and two-day Job Search Workshops, for groups of up to 10 people, are facilitated by experienced Outplacement Counsellors and are ideal where large scale redundancies are made.
In all cases the workshop includes extensive handout material and preparation of resumés, which are drafted during the course. Arrangements can also be made for the Outplacement Counsellor to be available on-site before or after the workshops to assist those individuals who may require additional counselling.
